Projects

There are two categories of projects that we are working on. We are collecting new and used SF&F books, and we are helping make speakers available to speak in front of teachers, librarians, fans, and other interested groups.

Book Collections

RFF Utah is collecting books for three purposes.

1. We are looking for new SF&F books to give to school libraries and to public libraries. Particularly school libraries are in dire need for new and relevant material. Of course, we invite Utah schools and public libraries to let us know when they are looking for specific materials.
2. We are looking for donations of new SF&F books and related materials (cover art, promotional collectibles, signed copies) for prizes for the annual RFF Utah Student Writing and Art Contest.
3. We are accepting donations of SF&F books for our "Pass It On!" campaign.

Speakers

RFF Utah also helps find speakers to speak on Reading for the Future. The list of speakers is not terribly large at the moment, but it is sure to grow. Since not all people willing or able to speak want to publish personal information on the web, email us if you are looking for a speaker and cannot find what you're looking for in our list. If you're willing to be a speaker, you can let us know if you fill in this form.

Presentations

RFF Utah is developing presentations and lesson plans related to speculative fiction. As this material becomes available you can find out about it here. Let us know if you want to work with us to develope more like this.
