How do you get kids to read? Give them a book! Kids have an insatiable curiosity, and they will read, as long as the book isn't an assignment or an imposition. Everywhere we turn, we find testimonials by people who declare that some book they were given when they were just a kid in school got them reading. Likely as not, that book was science fiction!

RFF Utah has been collecting and passing on books for almost a year. During CONduit 9: Deep Space CONduit we passed on 250 books! (I wasn't counting, but David Anderson tells me that's how many it was, and he ought to know.) During CONduit 10: Night of the Living CONduit we doubled that number. The books were placed on our table at the convention, for anyone to take. Each book bears a stamp: "Pass It On!"

RFF Utah is accepting donations of books for this project. Paperback books are, of course, preferred. Science fiction, fantasy, and related genres are our focus.
